​I'm currently working part-time as a Data Analyst for Democrats Abroad and am available for other part-time contracts or short-term, full-time contracts.

CURRENT SKILL SET:

  • Building Reports in Tableau online for distribution to the rest of the organisation. The data comes from a data warehouse on the back of the NationBuilder product.
  • Evaluating Power BI as an alternative. Building reports in PBI Desktop and publishing to PBI Service. Working with datasets, Reports and Dashboards in PBI Service. Actually spending more time now with PBI than Tableau and working towards Microsoft certification.
  • Preparing data and doing ETL with T-SQL from data in SQL Server databases – locally and on Azure and AWS Clouds
  • Preparing data and doing ETL in Python/Pandas.
  • Writing Python/Selenium code to test website and automate web tasks
  • Writing Python Lamba functions in AWS to access APIs
  • Cleaning and wrangling data in Excel, Power BI, Python and SQL
 
CURRENT WORK ENVIRONMENT
Democrats Abroad is the expatriate wing of the US Democratic Party. I’m part of a global IT/Data Science team working entirely remotely. The team typically works under time pressure – “as good as time allows” deadlines.
